Virgin Atlantic has commenced operations on its latest route from Manchester to Las Vegas, while also confirming the resumption of flights to Israel later this year.
The new Manchester-Vegas route operates thrice weekly, utilizing Airbus A350-1000 aircraft equipped with economy, premium economy, and Upper Class cabins.
This addition complements Virgin’s existing daily London Heathrow-Las Vegas service and expands its US routes from Manchester to four. The airline already serves Manchester with flights to Orlando, New York, and Atlanta.
In a separate announcement, Virgin disclosed the resumption of daily Heathrow to Tel Aviv flights on 5 September. This decision follows a hiatus since October 2023 due to conflicts between Israeli forces and the Palestinian group Hamas.
Furthermore, Virgin has entered a new codeshare agreement with Israeli carrier El Al, initially covering El Al’s flights from 10 June and extending to Virgin’s resumed services to Israel from September.
In addition to these developments, Virgin is actively pursuing new commercial partnerships with SAS Scandinavian Airlines, effective from SAS’s integration into the SkyTeam alliance on 1 September.
Moreover, Virgin has initiated a codeshare with another SkyTeam member, Saudia, enabling Virgin passengers traveling from the US to connect through Heathrow and Manchester to Saudia’s services to Jeddah and Riyadh.
